Honor thy word.
Back in college, super Creative Director icons Minyong Ordonez and Danny Almiranez whipped up a 'values transformation' ad campaign for the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP). One of the series was "Palabra de Honor", aimed at rebuilding lost Filipino core values and instilling it to the young. Probably the best Philippine ad ever and which just needs to be re-injected back in a bigger scale.
I would not step to a full-length discourse on palabra de honor since it is a given human affliction for a majority, whether it be personal, legal, business or otherwise. Rather, there is worse injustice when you are caught in the middle - between a consumer and a producer, or between a liar and a saint. Many times over, it can make you sick notwithstanding how contagious it can be.They can plunk and pluck you many times over. hehe
The ad is simple yet striking. It imbibes the 'guilt' on the audience and a reciprocal word-of-mouth advertising to underscore its aim. Good to remind us earthlings once in a while about this Eleventh Commandment. ;)
